Your books stay on your device
- Your library is kept in the app. Your audiobook files, covers, places, bookmarks, speeds and folders are stored in LectorTome's own storage on your device. You can see the audiobooks in the Files app under On My iPhone or On My iPad › LectorTome.
- Nothing is uploaded. There is no cloud copy, no sync and no account. Your device's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer) may include the app's data, as they do for any app, under Apple's terms and your settings.
- You can delete it all. Deleting LectorTome deletes everything it has stored.
No analytics, no ads, no tracking
- LectorTome has no analytics, usage tracking, crash reporting service, advertising or third-party code that collects data. It doesn't "phone home".
- On the App Store, LectorTome's privacy label is Data Not Collected.
What the app asks to use, and why
- Local network (Wi-Fi Transfer). When you open Wi-Fi Transfer, LectorTome runs a small upload page on your own Wi-Fi network so you can send audiobooks from a browser on your computer. iOS asks your permission the first time. The page runs only while the Wi-Fi Transfer screen is open, needs a new code each time, switches off after 10 wrong codes, and can only save files inside LectorTome. It can't be reached from the internet.
- Photos and files you pick. When you choose a cover or a library background from Photos or Files, the app receives only the image you picked. It's kept on your device.
- Motion (sleep timer). While a sleep timer is running, the app watches for a shake so it can add five minutes. Motion is used for nothing else and isn't stored.
- Siri and Shortcuts. If you use Siri, Apple handles your request under Apple's privacy policy. LectorTome gives Siri your book titles so it can understand "Play title in LectorTome".
- Widgets. The widgets show the book you're listening to. The app shares that title, cover and progress with its own widget through storage on your device.
We don't collect, sell or share information
GNUware.com receives nothing from LectorTome: not your books, not your listening, not how you use the app and not who you are. We have no customer data from the app to sell, rent, trade or hand to advertisers, data brokers or anyone else, and we never will.
If you buy LectorTome, Apple handles the purchase. Apple doesn't give us your name or contact details, and we only see the totals Apple reports to every developer.
If you email us
If you write to [email protected], for example to hear when LectorTome is out, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and to send what you asked for, and we don't sell or share it. Ask us to delete a message, or to stop writing to you, and we will.
This website
This site is static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.
Children
LectorTome collects no information from anyone, including children.
